As agreed under clause 14(Conditions Precedent) of the IP GSPA that upon successfully completion of the Conditions Precedent (CPs), the GSPA Parties shall exchange Effective Date Confirmation Letter, the Effective Date Confirmation Letter has accordingly been signed and exchanged by the Parties on 13^th June 2010, in Tehran, formally recording the effectiveness of the IP GSPA. The Effective Date Confirmation Letter was signed by Mr. Reza Kasaeizadeh for National Iranian Gas Export Company (NIGEC) and Mr. Mohammad Naim Sharafat on behalf of Inter State Gas Systems (Pvt) Ltd (ISGS) in a ceremony held in Tehran.

 

The ceremony was witnessed by Iran's Deputy Oil Minister, His Excellency, Javad Ouji  and Mr. Kamran Lashari, Secretary Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources, Government of Pakistan, among others present there.

 

Earlier, a three member Pakistan delegation headed by Mr. Kamran Lashari, Secretary Petroleum and Natural Resources, Government of Pakistan, including Mr. Mohammad Naim Sharafat, Managing Director ISGS, and Mr. Mobin Saulat, CFO ISGS, traveled to Tehran on 12^th June 2010 to take part in signing ceremony.
