Pakistan and Iran on Friday, 28th May 2010, executed a sovereign guarantee agreement for Iran-Pakistan Gas pipeline project. The sovereign guarantee is GOP performance guarantee on behalf of ISGS. The guarantee was signed by Mr. S. Reza Kasaeizadeh, Managing Director National Iranian Oil Company from Iran and Mr. Irshad Kaleemi, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources on behalf of the GOP.
Minister for Petroleum Syed Naveed Qamar, Secretary Petroleum and Natural Resources Kamran Lashari and MD ISGS, Mr. Mohammad Naim Sharafat, among others, also witnessed the ceremony.
GSPA Parties have agreed to sign the Effective Date Confirmation Letter by 10th June 2010 for the effectiveness of the GSPA.
