Pakistan and Iran signed HOA and OA for Iran-Pakistan Gas Pipeline Project on 16th March 2010 in Turkey. The agreements are signed by Interstate Gas Systems (ISGS) from Pakistan side while from Iranian side the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) is the counter Party. Pakistan delegation headed by Secretary Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources included Managing Director ISGS, GM(Finance & Commercial)/CFO and Manager (Legal) ISGS.
Earlier the Presidents of both the countries signed an Inter Governmental Framework Declaration (IGFD) on 24th May 2009. Subsequently, ISGS and NIOC signed a Gas Sales & Purchase Agreement (GSPA) on 5th of June 2009.
The GSPA is for a supply of 30 million cubic meters of natural gas per day (MMcmd) for duration of 25 years. As per the current implementation plan, first gas flow shall be available by end of 2014 |
